I recently evaluated 12 months of my reading against the kindleunlimited library and found that the answer to Kindle Unlimited, A Year in Review–Is it Worth It Yet? was “no” for me. However, in a discussion with one of the blog readers, I admit that I could probably get value from the subscription for a period of several months if I started a list of books in the kindleunlimited library and saved them up. The real questions I have are:
- How many months can I sustain the value? (read more than $9.99 worth of books, for “free”, in a month)
- Do I have to sacrifice reading favorite authors or books in order to sustain the value?
So, later today, I’m going to begin the real time experiment by starting the free subscription and then paying for it as long as I can sustain the value without sacrificing time spent on favorite non-KU books and authors.
I’ll update you over time and share what I learn.
